JL Care Services is a small team based at the Evron Centre in Filey. We help people stay in their own homes — from a single visit a day to overnight and round-the-clock support.
What we do
Most people don't need care all day — they need help at particular moments. We build a plan around those moments, and the same small group of carers comes each time.

Visits start from half an hour. If what you need doesn't fit any of the above, ring and ask — it's usually easier to sort out over the phone.
Who we help
We're a few minutes away rather than an hour down the coast, which matters when plans change or something goes wrong.
Support that grows as needs change, so a move into residential care can wait — or not happen at all.
Familiar faces on a steady routine, which is usually what helps most. Carers trained in dementia support.
Extra help for the first few weeks after a stay in hospital, then stepped down when it's no longer needed.
Help with moving, personal care and daily routines, including double-up visits where two carers are needed.
Practical support for people living with sight or hearing loss, at home and out in the community.
Care at home in the last months and weeks, working alongside district nurses and the palliative team.
"It was amazing to come across two people who truly care."
Julie and Rachel looked after our mum for a weekend in Scarborough — her first trip out after three years in hospital. Her needs are high and she doesn't cope well with change, but the minute they arrived our worries disappeared.
They are 100% reliable, and when things didn't go to plan they were there in minutes with a solution. Mum cried when she had to say goodbye.
Gemma JarrettAbout us
I'm Julie Littleboy. I've spent over twenty years working in care, and I set up JL Care Services to run things the way I always thought they should be run — small enough that I know every client, and every carer who visits them.
We're registered with the Care Quality Commission and inspected by them, and we're an approved provider for North Yorkshire Council. Every carer is DBS checked and trained before they go out to anyone.
If you're weighing up options for someone, you're welcome to ring and talk it through with no obligation. It costs nothing to ask.
Registered manager: Julie Littleboy. Location ID 1-13933853711. Rated Good.
Approved provider for North Yorkshire Council.

Paying for care
If you're not sure which applies, ring and ask. Sorting out funding is part of what we help with.
You arrange the care directly with us and pay us for the hours used. No contract tying you in — you can change or stop the arrangement.
If a council care assessment says you're eligible, they may fund some or all of the cost. We're an approved provider, so you can ask for us by name.
If the council agrees you're eligible, you can take the funding as a payment and arrange the care yourself rather than have them arrange it for you. It's the route that gives you the most say over who comes to the door, and you can choose us with it.
Where care is needed mainly for health reasons, the NHS may cover the full cost. Ask the hospital or district nurse about an assessment.
